115×15×22.2mm Purple Strip Disc Non-Woven Abrasive Wheel for Metal Surface Cleaning Rust Removal and Paint Stripping
The Purple Clean and Strip Disc is a 115 × 15 × 22.2 mm non-woven surface-cleaning wheel for angle grinders. Weike positions the Purple version as the finer, gentler option for light cleaning of light rust, oxide and minor stains.
Its open web promotes debris evacuation and helps reduce loading for metal refurbishment, post-weld cleanup and coating preparation.
The abrasive mineral, grade and maximum operating speed are not published. Obtain factory technical confirmation and approve the disc on a matching sample before purchase or use.
• size: 115 mm outside diameter × 15 mm thickness × 22.2 mm bore.
• a fine, gentle abrasive texture with uniform pore distribution, emphasizing heat dissipation and a more uniform result.
• The open three-dimensional web allows removed coating and debris to escape, helping reduce loading during continuous work.
• Resin system, fiber density, center attachment and batch-inspection criteria require factory confirmation.
• Process position: light cleaning, finished-part refurbishment, oxide removal and surface refinement before a later finishing step.
• “Clean and strip” does not mean scratch-free. Evaluate the cut pattern and substrate change on a representative sample.
• The category page states that the range works on flat and curved surfaces, while the open web helps follow common contours.
• Use lighter pressure and test first on edges, thin sheet, hole edges and finished surfaces to avoid excessive material removal.
• Materials/workpieces listed on the page: aluminum alloy, copper, decorative stainless steel and other scratch-sensitive soft metals as candidate applications.
• Plated parts, composites, plastics, wood and high-value finished surfaces are not confirmed on the current page and require separate testing.
• Sample-led discussions can cover color, web density, abrasive grade, bore/attachment, packaging, labeling and OEM requirements.
• Sample charge, MOQ, pack quantity, lead time and customization feasibility are subject to the formal quotation.
Product Certification
The Purple Clean and Strip Disc is designed to remove rust, old paint, oxide, weld residue or general surface contamination from metal workpieces. Compared with rigid grinding tools, its open non-woven web provides a more conformable contact and gives debris space to escape.
The Purple version is intended for cleaning stages that need gentler contact and a more uniform surface, such as light rust, oxide and minor stains on aluminum alloy, copper and decorative stainless steel. Weike states that it can reduce obvious coarse scratches and simplify later refinement; whether a finishing step can actually be omitted must be decided by customer trials. During longer runs, control pressure, dwell time and heat to avoid discoloration or localized marks on softer metals.
The 115 × 15 × 22.2 mm format is intended for an angle grinder with a compatible mounting interface. Selection must consider coating thickness, substrate, target surface, abrasive mineral, grade, acceptable scratch pattern, tool speed and the next process—not color alone.
This copy uses only the size and applications published by Weike. The abrasive mineral, hardness/density grade, maximum RPM, packaging, MOQ and compliance documents require written factory confirmation before quotation and publication.

Features & Advantages
• The open web promotes debris evacuation and helps reduce loading from removed coatings.
• Its gentler positioning helps reduce the risk of deep coarse marks on softer or decorative metals while maintaining useful cleaning action.
• The 115 mm diameter and 22.2 mm bore fit common angle-grinder workflows, subject to interface and rated-speed confirmation.
• Suitability for flats and common curves can reduce tool changes.
• Color coding helps operators distinguish heavy, general and fine cleaning stages, but color does not replace a technical grade.
• Sample trials can confirm removal rate, surface effect, service life and downstream coating or welding results.
Applications
• light oxidation cleaning on aluminum alloy and copper, decorative stainless refurbishment, removal of light rust or minor stains, and surface refinement before finishing.
• Sheet metal, structural steel, welded parts, automotive repair, door/window hardware, equipment maintenance and industrial refurbishment
• Removal of old paint, rust, oxide and residue before coating, bonding or welding
• Surface preparation on flats, curves and common contours
• Do not use on thin edges, precision dimensions or high-value decorative finishes without a sample trial
How to Use
1. Confirm the substrate, contaminant and target finish. Test on scrap or a hidden area first.
2. Inspect the disc for moisture, cracks, deformation or bore damage. Confirm that the 115 × 15 × 22.2 mm format fits the machine.
3. Obtain the maximum RPM from the product label or technical sheet. The grinder no-load speed must not exceed the disc rating. Do not use the disc while the rating is unknown.
4. Fit the correct guard and flange/attachment. Disconnect power before mounting, tighten correctly and secure the workpiece.
5. Wear appropriate eye/face, hand, hearing and respiratory protection, with ventilation and spark/dust control.
6. Hold the tool with both hands and run it briefly without load. Start with light pressure and a small contact angle, keeping the disc moving.
7. Check removal rate, heat, scratch pattern and substrate change in stages. Increase pressure gradually; do not use impact or excessive force to compensate for the wrong grade.
8. Stop immediately for abnormal vibration, damage, odor or a sharp drop in cutting performance. Wait for a complete stop and isolate power before inspection or replacement.
