14-Inch Off-White Mill-Treated Cotton Airway Buff for Medium-to-Coarse Polishing
14-Inch Off-White Mill-Treated Cotton Airway Buff for Medium-to-Coarse Polishing is positioned for oxide and scratch removal plus batch pretreatment of large workpieces.
It uses 100% off-white cotton cloth with hardening and surface treatment in multi-layer cotton cloth combined with open airways; the working face changes with cloth hardness and treatment.
It is intended for large-hardware plants, stainless-product manufacturers and batch preparation lines, working mainly on large stainless-steel and general-metal workpieces.
Selection value: Positioned around 100% cotton compound retention, consistent cutting, airway cooling and batch pretreatment of large parts.
• Size / model: 14 in / approximately 356 mm; confirm face width, bore and flange dimensions for the customer’s machine.
• Material & construction: 100% off-white cotton cloth with hardening and surface treatment; multi-layer cotton cloth combined with open airways; the working face changes with cloth hardness and treatment.
• Manufacturing: cotton layers are arranged evenly around the center and formed into airways to balance buffing contact, cooling and continuous-run stability.
• Performance / process stage: oxide and scratch removal plus batch pretreatment of large workpieces. Recommended pairing: match the compound to the metal and process stage; use dedicated wheels when moving from coarse to fine work to avoid cross-contamination.
• Surface fit: large flat faces, broad hardware and gentle curves. Operating tip: charge evenly, use medium pressure with overlapping passes, remove oxide and scratches in stages, and monitor wheel temperature.
• Suitable materials: large stainless-steel and general-metal workpieces.
• Supply options: Samples and wholesale orders are available. Diameter, face width, ply/pleat construction, center plate and bore can be discussed for customization. Neutral packaging, custom logos, MOQ and OEM/ODM service are subject to the formal quotation.
Product Certification
This 14-inch Off-White Mill-Treated Cotton Airway Buffing Wheel uses 100% off-white cotton cloth with hardening and surface treatment in multi-layer cotton cloth combined with open airways; the working face changes with cloth hardness and treatment. cotton layers are arranged evenly around the center and formed into airways to balance buffing contact, cooling and continuous-run stability.
It is designed for oxide and scratch removal plus batch pretreatment of large workpieces and suits large flat faces, broad hardware and gentle curves. Typical materials include large stainless-steel and general-metal workpieces. Compound guidance: match the compound to the metal and process stage; use dedicated wheels when moving from coarse to fine work to avoid cross-contamination.
For large-hardware plants, stainless-product manufacturers and batch preparation lines, the core value is clear: Positioned around 100% cotton compound retention, consistent cutting, airway cooling and batch pretreatment of large parts. Selection note: Positioned for medium-to-coarse work rather than final mirror finishing; deep welds need a more aggressive wheel and mirror gloss needs a softer follow-up buff.

• Medium-to-coarse stages on automatic polishing lines
How to Use
1. Inspect the wheel, center plate and cloth layers. Confirm the 14 in / approximately 356 mm diameter, actual face width, bore and rated speed against the machine.
2. Mount with the correct flanges and guarding. During the no-load test, stand clear of the plane of rotation and stop immediately for wobble, abnormal vibration or damage.
3. Dedicate wheels to different metals and compounds where possible. match the compound to the metal and process stage; use dedicated wheels when moving from coarse to fine work to avoid cross-contamination.
4. Operating technique: charge evenly, use medium pressure with overlapping passes, remove oxide and scratches in stages, and monitor wheel temperature.
5. Maintain overlapping passes and control heat. Do not substitute excessive pressure for correct preparation or the correct compound.
6. Wear suitable eye/face protection, gloves and work clothing, and provide effective local dust extraction. Clean or dress the face after shutdown; do not reuse a damp, loose or damaged wheel.
