16-Inch Blue Treated Spiral-Sewn Cotton Buffing Wheel for Stainless Steel Metal Mirror Polishing
A deep-blue hardened 16-inch spiral-sewn cotton wheel for heavy-duty scratch leveling and intermediate polishing.
Ultra-tight stitching and a broad working face support fast batch processing of stainless steel sheet, metal pipe and large bathroom hardware.
It is designed for automatic lines and heavy vertical machines where cutting rate and wheel stability are key purchasing factors.
• Size / model: 16 in / approximately 406 mm; confirm wheel width and center-hole dimensions for the customer’s machine.
• Material & construction: deep-blue hardened multi-layer cotton cloth; ultra-tight spiral-sewn flat cloth buff.
• Manufacturing: closely spaced spiral stitching locks the treated cloth layers for heavy production use.
• Performance / process stage: coarse buffing and intermediate scratch leveling. Recommended compound: yellow compound for coarse polishing or purple compound for medium polishing, as stated on the product page.
• Surface fit: large flat sheet, pipe and broad hardware surfaces. Use controlled pressure, monitor heat and follow with a softer cotton wheel when a high mirror finish is required.
• Suitable materials: stainless steel and other robust metal workpieces.
• Supply options: samples and wholesale orders; custom diameter, thickness and stitching are available by enquiry. Neutral packaging, custom logo printing and OEM/ODM support can be discussed before quotation.
Product Certification
This 16-inch blue spiral-sewn buff is the rigid, production-focused counterpart to a loose blue cotton wheel. Deep hardening supplies strong cutting action, while close spiral sewing keeps the face stable when leveling scratches and minor scale after coarse emery work.
Its large diameter and broad contact area are aimed at stainless sheet, pipe, railing and bathroom-hardware plants running automatic or heavy vertical equipment. The construction supports high coverage and a repeatable scratch-refinement stage across large batches.
Use yellow compound when more cutting is needed or purple compound for medium polishing. For premium gloss, move the part to a soft white finishing wheel afterward. This staged positioning helps buyers select the product correctly and avoids promising a one-wheel solution for every finish.
Application boundary: Not positioned as the final wheel for delicate thin soft metals; test the process before production.

Features & Advantages
• Deep-blue treated cloth provides strong, consistent cutting action.
• Ultra-tight spiral sewing improves stability under production loads.
• Large 16-inch face increases throughput on sheets, pipes and broad parts.
• Supports a clear coarse-to-medium step before final mirror polishing.
Applications
• Scratch leveling on stainless steel sheet and fabricated panels.
• Intermediate buffing of tubes, rails and large bathroom hardware.
• Removal of shallow coarse-polishing marks and light oxide scale.
• High-volume processing on automatic lines and heavy vertical machines.
How to Use
1. Inspect the wheel before use and confirm the diameter, bore, width and rated speed match the machine.
2. Mount it with the correct flanges and guarding; run the wheel without load while standing clear of its plane.
3. Keep a dedicated wheel for each compound and material family to prevent cross-contamination.
4. Apply yellow compound for coarse polishing or purple compound for medium polishing sparingly and refresh it only when cutting or gloss begins to fall.
5. Use controlled pressure, monitor heat and follow with a softer cotton wheel when a high mirror finish is required.
6. Use trained operators, eye and face protection, suitable respiratory protection and effective local dust extraction. Stop if vibration, damage or unusual heat appears.
